"Three folk songs, collected in hi fi.
The first one is from somerset and has captured the spirit
of the gay happy famer. It was recorded in The Brewers Elbow
a local beer house."

Would one fine morning I spied a lass there
With a muferty-dollicking-lumberdum-di
She asked I the right road for Muckfbottomham Fair
So I ups and shows her the way

Oh yarn, o yarn, oh yarn oh yi
I ups an' I shows her the way
And I had, I had her ahh hey
I had her that's the way

Now all ye young maidens beware o' the Fair
If you don't know the way, the you'll find me right there
For the happiest times of my life I dare say
I've had showing young maidens the way

Oh yarn, o yarn, oh yarn oh yi
I ups an' I showed her the way
And I had, I had her ahh hey
I had her that's the way

"The second one is representative of the Scottish mouth music,
sung on the mouth. i experienced some difficulty with extraneous
noise on this recording. The singer, Hamish McPukes, only gave of
his best when singing on the corner of Sockinhole Street, in Glasgow.
You may hear some traffics noise, pay no attention"

..........................

"Unfortunately, that was recorded posthumously. Finally I would like you to
listen to the sheer artistry of Pat O'Shaughnessy and his men of Shamrock."

"All right lads here we go"

"One, two, three, four"

"Ahh, that's lovely lads thats lovely. Ahh Let it play from your hearts lads, that's

"Pass a bottle Perry, will you. That's it, a drop of the hard stuff"

"I'll have a drop of the ?? too please. Shaun, Shaun give us the bottle

"Ha, ha, ha, ha"

"I say that sound like a, a bum note you were playing there Shaun"

"Don't tell me that I'm playing a bum note, I'm not. I won't take that talk from anyone"
